Christina M Tedeso -feet

Feet - you might say Christina Tedesco has an obsession with feet. She would say it is more like a fascination. They show up all the time in her art work from her videos to her sculptures. But why is it feet and not the whole body? Cerebral Palsy does affect her whole body.

“ From the age of two my feet and my legs became the part of my body that I had to work on the most so I could walk and get around. My feet are a part of my body that I need to take great care of.”

  1. You are very talented! Thanks for sharing your artwork here. I went over to your Web site too and enjoyed checking out your works in different media. The concept of balance that you mention in your artist's statement is a really rich one to explore visually.

This is a great idea for a blog. It was good to learn about David Cabral and it would be interesting to read about any other artists you might choose, if you continue with the blog.

  3. Christina,
Thank you for sharing your work. I love learning about other artists and other things my classmates are doing in their lives - I worked with a group of artists from Kilkenny, Ireland, The Kilkenny Collective for Arts Talent or KCAT for short- KCAT focuses on the artists’ abilities rather than the disabilities they live with.
I organized an exhibit with 4 resident artists from KCAT with all varying disabilities. Their artwork was incredible. I sold all 50 pieces the night of the opening reception. We had all of the artists in NH for a week. They made work in our studios; they toured NH and attended the opening reception. I had such a great experience with them I didn’t want them to leave! I plan on visiting them next- what a great excuse to travel to Ireland right? !
    Anyways, check out their website-
